Can I check out textbooks for my class?

The library has many, but not all, course textbooks on reserve. Textbooks are usually available for 3-hour checkout. Textbook availability for a course varies by instructor and course section.  Search the library class reserves to see if we have your textbook. It is helpful to know your instructor's name as well as the title, author, and edition of your textbooks.   

The MVCC bookstore’s online look up can help determine the title, author, and edition of textbooks used for your class section.

The MVCC bookstore has textbooks for purchase and rent. 

If you need further help determining the availability of your textbook in the library, contact the Reference Desk through the Ask a Librarian page. If you have determined the library has your textbook, it may be requested and checked out at the circulation desk.
